NEW U.S. Service live

We are pleased to say that our new service offering a U.S IP address via severs on both the East and West coast of the USA is now live and taking subscriptions.

For the new low introductory price of just $6.50 per month.

The U.S VPN installs, runs and delivers exactly the same service as our existing UK service
and can be found at www.my-expat-network.com

My Expat Network is a service that provides American and other expats, who have an interest to stay connected with the US, with a safe, secure and private internet connection. Using our US based servers, you will also be able to access US based content such as TV catchup services, sites blocked where you are and other US only websites.

The "Men in black" are back...

We are always pleased to find out about new and interesting uses for our VPN
Well Simon B has been away from the UK for 16 years and is a big fan of The Stranglers,
who are still making great music having formed in 1974 !

Their latest single is available for download, but only if you have a UK IP address.

Problem solved.

It is working fantastic! My main purpose was to buy the new download single by the Stranglers, it worked perfect,
as it has to have a UK IP.

thanks again for a great service.
Simon.

Operating Systems...

Our extremely diverse and helpful subscribers sometimes throw us a curve ball with their computer operating systems.

Iain R runs Windows 2000 Pro and wanted to sign up for our service, but couldn't find the guide on our "How To's" page. We don't actually have a guide for 2000 Pro and advised Iain to try the installation himself with a guarantee of his money back if it didn't work. Well, it did and he sent us some nice feedback...

"For your information, the system does work with Windows 2000 Professional.
Very impressed with it, and have recommened it to the lads at work who all travel away from home."
Stephen S who has a doctorate in computer science asked if we support Linux, which up until now we have not. So Stephen very kindly knocked out a walkthrough to install our VPN client on Linux systems. We now make it available on request...it's a very occasional request, but none the less thanks Steve.

Ski Accident

David McD writes from hospital in Norway after a Skiing accident...

"Really great service by the way - for example being able to get UK TV online when you are stuck in foreign places is very welcome indeed, and to be able to use Skype from Middle East countries is invaluable."

As well as Skype being blocked in the Middle East, social networking sites like Facebook and Bebo are routinely blocked in China, and our service gets round that problem too. And don't forget that once you connect with our VPN you will also get the UK version of Google, rather than the version for the country you are in.
